Fall '25 Newsletter
Oh my gosh, how can it be fall already? This is an exciting fall personally, because my daughter is getting married in October. I love her girlfriend, and am so looking forward to spending time with our extended family, and meeting more of hers.
In thinking about my small speaking part in the ceremony, I have been thinking about love (obviously), but also kindness and service. How a wedding is a commitment to exemplify these qualities to your partner in life.
These are goals that we aspire to bring into our business and how we treat our clients. Luckily our clients make it a joy to care for them, and treat them kindly. And bringing them elevated design, helping them through their project decision making, and making their home work for their life gives our team so much joy.
Out there in the real world, sometimes it seems harder. It can be effortful to turn towards love. But I do think kindness is always possible. And so I will speak about making the choice: to love, to be kind, to be of service to others. It might be the bravest choice we can make as we move forward in life.

We are delighted to announce that our team has won bronze at this year’s Design Excellence Awards by ASID California Peninsula. We are honored because this award is judged by our peers, practicing interior design professionals, so it means a lot. We also loved creating a home that this young family could love for decades to come! More pictures of this project is featured here.
A Peek Behind the Design Curtain: Living Room for Family Living in Menlo Park

These clients knew they wanted their house to look beautiful but didn’t know how to make it happen. Like many in the Bay Area, they couldn’t afford a bigger house, so we set out to make their limited square footage work for their young family. And one key was to design enough storage that there was a place for everything.
They loved traveling, and wanted to display the items they had collected. They loved color, and timeless, fun design.
And now we’re so excited to be working with this client again on a new home!

Plastic is a HUGE problem. Its difficult and expensive to recycle, so most plastic sits in landfills, pollutes waterways and land, or gets incinerated. In a new study, Northwestern University chemists have introduced a new plastic upcycling process that could potentially make plastic more easily recyclable.

It IS Easy Being Green!💡
One source of VOCs in your home are conventional cleaning products. Often, they also come in a plastic bottle. One alternative it to refill a spray bottle, with a healthier cleaner. Blueland all purpose cleaning sprays come as water soluble tablet, and you add your own water. You can also make your own cleaner using vinegar (which naturally kills bacteria), water and essential oils.
